Executive Chef/Owner

Raymond Jock started  his culinary journey in Orlando, Florida, studying under Wendall Thompson and Gordon Kapp, two of Florida's top chefs. After attending culinary school in the early 90's, Raymond decided to move to NYC (the restaurant capital of the world) to pursue his passion.

It was there that Raymond opened Nick and Toni's Cafe on the upper West side of Manhatten with world renowned chef's, Johnathan Waxman and Daren McRonald. After 6 years, Raymond accepted the first of several positions as a personal chef, traveling around the country with some of New York City's most successful and influential people like Jerry Seinfeld, David Sandborn, Donald Marron and others.

Recently, Raymond made his decision to move back to his hometown of Oswego, NY to pursue his longtime dream of opening his own restaurant: La Parrilla, a Mediterranean style bistro that uses all local vendors and local farm products in his seasonally changing menu. Raymond Jock brings his talent and craft back to his hometown and it shows at La Parrilla

Our Cuisine

Our daily changing menus are inspired by seasonal organic ingredients and incorporate
traditional regional Spanish and Italian cuisine. Nearly all of the produce, meat, and fish
is farmed or harvested in a sustainable manner.
